Small Steps Create Big Shifts

Mindful Pantry has become my new passion project — it helps me get my mind off of work gives me something to focus on outside of work. Honestly, I absolutely love this cozy vibe I’ve created in my home; it feels peaceful, and I’m enjoying it thoroughly. I didn’t even know what a staple pantry was before starting this journey. Some of these ingredients, even though they’re simple—like a sweet potato—are things I hadn’t cooked with much, so exploring them has been really interesting so far.

I hope you join me on this little journey. Some posts will be straight-up recipes, and others will be me just rambling about what I’m learning. I’m very grateful to everyone who chooses to follow along. I’ve learned what a staple pantry looks like, what it is, and learning how to use it. I’m slowly learning how to build one that’s unique to me, supports my growing family, and helps me cook more whole, healthy foods.

I want to remind everyone that we all have jobs and busy lives—few of us have endless time to spend in the kitchen most of us probably don’t want to anyway. Many traditional methods are time-consuming, but it doesn’t have to be that way. There’s a wealth of information out there that can help us cut down time without sacrificing quality. I’m excited to explore and learn these tips and techniques, and I hope you’re excited to learn with me. I’m not a professional—this is a complete passion project—but I’m so thankful and truly blessed to have so many people supporting me in this wonderful, slightly crazy endeavor.
